Manja Ristić, rođena je u Beogradu 1979. godine.
Violinistkinja, izvođač improvizacione muzike, kompozitor zvučnih umetnosti, kustos, edukator i menadžer u kulturi. Diplomirala je na FMU (2001), a 2004. završila postdiplomske studije na Kraljevskom koledžu za muziku u Londonu (RCM). 
           Kao solo i kamerni izvođač klasične muzike nastupala je širom Evrope uključujući saradnje sa svetski poznatim mentorima, dirigentima i izvođačima. Po završetku postiplomskih studija okreće se multimedijalnom performansu i istraživanju na polju instrumentalne elektro-akustike. Sa sastavom Eruption, kao i kroz nebrojene kolaboracije sa kompozitorima, vizuelnim i konceptualnim umetnicima, pozorišnim i filmskim rediteljima nastupa u SAD, Velikoj Britaniji, Francuskoj, Danskoj, Italiji, Holandiji, Belgiji, Nemačkoj, Austriji, Mađarskoj, Sloveniji, Makedoniji, Hrvatskoj... Osnivač je Udruženja multimedijalnih umetnika AUROPOLIS, koje je kroz njen desetogodišnji producentski, aktivistički i umetnički rad predstavilo veliki broj kulturnih događaja, umetničkih produkcija i internacionalnih projekata.

Manja Ristić (1979) born in Belgrade.

In 2001 graduated at the Belgrade Academy of Music, then in 2004 awarded at the Royal College of Music, London, with PGDip Solo / Ensemble Recitalist. As a classical solo and chamber recitalist as well as an improv solo and ensemble musician Manja performed all across Europe and further, involving collaborations with established mentors, conductors and performers, multimedia artists, visual artists, poets, theater and movie directors.

During her undergraduate studies Manja starts collaboration with cellist Ivana Grahovac, forming electro–acoustic duo Eruption, that brings progressive approaches in instrumental string performing in the region and further and since the end of 90s continuously supports development of the free improvisation scene in Serbia. After finishing PGDip Manja is focusing on contemporary performance and research in the field of instrumental electro–acoustics, sound art, experimental and interdisciplinary sound implementation, sound ecology, inter-media scene arts...
With Eruption Duo, as well as numerous collaborations with composers, improvisers and multimedia artists performs in USA, UK, France, Denmark, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Austria, Hungary, Slovenia and all over all ex YU countries.

Some of the performers Manja works with are Toma Gouband, Jonas Kocher, Illan Manouach, Richard Barrett, Giovani di Domenico, Marina Džukljev, Jasna Veličković, Rastko Lazić, Tomaž Grom, Pak Yan Lau, Birgitte Lyregaard, Bettina Wenzel, Georg Wissel, Cyntia Zaven, Joel Grip, Brane Zorman, Milana Zarić, Hans Koch, Robert Roza, Antez, Belgrade Noise Collective, ImprovE collective etc. Collaborations in the field of AV performance and installations develops with visual artists such are Ivana Bašić, Gareth Hudson, Simonida Rajčević, Iva Supić Janković, Luisa Mizzoni, Stevan Lung, Nevena Vasiljević, Dorijan Kolundžija etc.

Manja is founder of the Association of Multimedia Artists Auropolis (since 2004), that by her guidance developed distinctive number of cultural events, international projects, cultural conferences and educational modules in the fields of scene arts and multimedia arts.
